City services, county veteran offices, VA health care and veteran benefits for 20 cities and counties around Portland and Vancouver, all in one place for veterans, service members and their families.
When you're picking a place to live, the house is only part of the picture. You also want to know who picks up the trash, where the kids go to school, how far it is to the nearest VA clinic, and who can help you file for the benefits you earned. After more than 25 years helping buyers and sellers across the Portland area, and as a Marine Corps veteran myself, I put this page together so you can find all of that without digging through dozens of websites.
Every city and county below has two sets of links. Community Resources go straight to the right local department, from animal care to utility billing. Veteran Resources point you to the closest VA care, the county veteran service office, and local property tax exemptions for disabled veterans. If you're still deciding where to land, start with my guide to the best Portland areas for veterans.
